Good news for SPS

Hi all some good news for Stafford PS, we came FIRST in the MCPF PDI championships a good ten points ahead of or nearest rivals Cannock. This means that we are through to both the National PDI and Print championships this year. We have already qualified for print so we did not need to enter that section.

Thanks to all those whose images we used and congratulations to Graham Argent who achieved the highest possible score of 15 for Fort Dancer with two other images scoring 13,Tessa Bramall scored 14 with one of her Grebe pictures and Brian Evill and Jo Banton both scoring 13 for their images.

Stafford PS – pdi champiship scores.pdf

Congratulations to Stafford and Cannock Photographic Societies who go through to the national PDi championships (Warwick) and to Leicester Forest and Wolverhampton Photographic Societies who will represent the Federation at the national print championships (Blackburn). A final thanks to all of you who took part for your tenacity and perseverance in putting together an entry under what has been the most trying circumstances for us all. My thanks would not be complete without thanking the judges who stood in to undertake this at the last moment.

There are no individual awards this year as the competition was purely to establish which clubs go forward to the nationals.

The individual report sheet for your club is attached to this e-mail.

At this point I cannot confirm if or when the national championships will take place. Whilst the PAGB is working on the basis that they will, the probability is they may take on a different form, given that social gatherings are expected to be a low priority on the governments list of restrictions to be relaxed.

Again, my sincere thanks to you all and let us hope that we can return to a more socially enjoyable event next year. The date for your diaries is 17th April 2021.

Keep safe and well
